The 2017 Warren G. Harding Symposium will take us back to The Great War as the United States marks the 100th anniversary of our entry into the first global war. We’ll investigate the events and thinking that led our nation into the war under the leadership of President Woodrow Wilson, delve into the wartime experience on the homefront and learn about the policies that President Warren G. Harding put in place to send the nation forward. The Symposium, scheduled for July 14-15, also has a July 16 event for Friends of Harding Home members that you won’t want to miss. The Symposium is known for bringing excellent research to the forefront and examining the U.S. Presidency in many facets. The weekend event consists of a Friday night reception, the annual wreathlaying ceremony at the Harding Memorial gravesite on Saturday morning, a trio of workshops on Saturday afternoon and a gala dinner featuring a keynote speaker. On Sunday, the Friends of Harding Home are staging a brunch/meeting/program featuring Harding Home researcher Jon Andersen.
